Our work for hire is billed by the hour or by the job quote. Clients are granted unlimited, but non-exclusive usage rights. We bring an assistant, and a variety of off-camera lighting and tripods to photograph both indoors and outdoors. Note that the viewer can see the details of the outside through the windows as well as the inside of rooms. We light with a purpose, dimension without glares, or loss of shadow or highlight details and especially without the color shifts that our HDR competitors are getting.
Johnny’s four regional coffee table books have sold over 55,000 copies, making him one of South Dakota’s top-selling authors. Approximately 20 of his finest images are available as personally signed prints in various sizes and presentations. Johnny’s images of the Black Hills are wonderful for decorating homes, offices, restaurants, and hotels.
Weather permitting, our senior work is outside in exciting locations like: waterfalls, creeks, bridges, aspen groves, rock cliffs, ghost towns, railroad tracks, downtown, old trains, warehouses and more! We also have our own personal cliffside outdoor studio on Rapid Creek west of Rapid City. It features a variety of retro props including an old pickup truck, split-rail cedar fence, a chairlift chair, barnwood walls, tire swing, and much, much more!
We have pricing for a simple one-outfit session, or up to six outfits including a coffee table book of senior images! We have no extra charges for retouching, your props, or your favorite locations unless they are outside of Rapid City. We require that you bring an adult along to these sessions if you are not 18 years old. Call us about clothing, hair, and makeup advice. Bring a friend, pets, clean car, or sports pops to be photographed with you as well for no extra charge!

After three decades, and over 400 weddings, we have decided to now offer only 1-3 hour wedding coverage to enjoy more of our weekends off. Please call us for details.
Our coverage is a nice blend of candid photojournalism, with skillfully lit and posed traditional images of the families and wedding party. Digital files and unlimited usage rights available.

We believe in youth sports and activities, and we believe in giving back to the community where we grew up. Our profit-sharing plan raises around $18,000 per year to non-profit leagues and schools!
Our photographers have state-of-the-art lighting, 120-volt batteries, high mega-pixel cameras, weights, metal umbrellas, and excellent posing skills. Our graphic designers are skilled and trained, and some of Rapid City’s finest! We deliver in two weeks generally, and fix any problems we may have made quickly and kindly.
